IPL Skin Treatments
Skin concerns are rarely one size fits all. Whether it is pigmentation that seems to become more noticeable every summer, persistent redness, active breakouts or skin that simply does not look as fresh as it once did, IPL gives us a way to target specific concerns rather than treating every complexion the same.
Wicked Lash and Beauty offers four targeted IPL skin treatments using SuperLUX technology: Pigmentation, Vascular, Acne Management and Photo Rejuvenation.
Pigmentation
For visible sun spots, unwanted pigmentation and areas of uneven looking skin tone.
Acne
For active acne and breakouts when the goal is clearer, calmer looking skin.
Photo Rejuvenation
For an overall skin refresh, targeting concerns such as fine lines, enlarged pores and uneven looking skin.
Vascular
For visible redness and tiny vascular veins, particularly around the nose and cheeks.

The Technology Behind Your Treatment
Wicked Lash and Beauty uses the SuperLUX system a medical grade IPL machine designed to perform targeted skin correction treatments.
IPL uses controlled pulses of light, with different wavelengths selected depending on the skin concern being treated. This means pigmentation, vascular concerns, acne and photo rejuvenation are not simply the same treatment with a different name. SuperLUX has dedicated treatment settings and filters designed to target each concern differently.
The system also features integrated skin contact cooling to help keep treatments comfortable while the light energy is delivered.
The technical part is taken care of for you. Tara will assess your skin, discuss what you would like to improve and recommend the treatment approach most appropriate for your concerns.
IPL Pigmentation
IPL Pigmentation is designed for those areas of unwanted pigmentation that can make your complexion appear uneven. From individual sun spots to more widespread pigmentation across the face, hands, neck or décolletage, treatments can be targeted according to where your concerns appear.
The goal is to visibly reduce unwanted pigmentation and help reveal a clearer, brighter and more even looking complexion.
Who Is IPL Pigmentation For?
IPL Pigmentation may be suitable if you:
• Have visible sun spots or areas of sun damage
• Want to reduce the appearance of unwanted pigmentation or dark spots
• Notice uneven patches of colour across your complexion
• Want your skin to appear clearer, brighter and more even
• Have pigmentation across the face, hands, neck or décolletage
• Have an individual spot you would like assessed and treated
Not sure whether your pigmentation is suitable for IPL? Tara will assess your skin and the pigmentation you would like to treat, discuss what you want to improve and perform the required test patches. From there, she can recommend whether IPL is appropriate for your skin and which treatment option best suits your concerns.

IPL Acne
When breakouts keep coming back, sometimes your skin needs more targeted support than your everyday routine can provide.
SuperLUX IPL Acne Management is designed to target active acne and acne causing bacteria, helping to reduce breakouts and support clearer looking skin.
Wicked Lash and Beauty offers treatments for either half of the face or the full face, with four treatment packages available for clients working through a recommended course.
Who Is IPL Acne For?
IPL Acne may be suitable if you:
• Experience active acne and recurring breakouts
• Have acne concentrated across the forehead or cheeks
• Experience breakouts across several areas of the face
• Want to support clearer, calmer looking skin
• Are looking for a targeted professional treatment to complement your approach to managing acne
• Are prepared to follow a recommended treatment course where appropriate
Not sure whether IPL is right for your breakouts? Tara will assess your skin, look at the areas you are concerned about and discuss what you would like to improve. Required test patches allow your skin's response to be assessed before proceeding with full treatment, and Tara can recommend whether IPL Acne Management is an appropriate option for you.

Photo Rejuvenation
Sometimes there is not one particular spot or concern. Your skin just does not look as fresh, smooth or vibrant as you would like it to.
IPL Photo Rejuvenation takes a broader approach to skin renewal. SuperLUX technology is designed to visibly reduce concerns including fine lines, wrinkles and enlarged pores while supporting a brighter, refreshed and more rejuvenated looking complexion.
Treatments are available for the face as well as commonly exposed areas such as the hands, neck and décolletage.
Who Is Photo Rejuvenation For?
Photo Rejuvenation may be suitable if you:
• Feel your complexion is looking dull or tired
• Want an overall skin refresh rather than targeting one isolated concern
• Want to reduce the visible appearance of fine lines
• Are concerned about enlarged looking pores
• Want to improve the overall appearance of your skin
• Want to rejuvenate areas such as the face, hands, neck or décolletage
Not sure whether Photo Rejuvenation is the right treatment for what you are seeing in the mirror? Tara can assess your skin, listen to what you would like to improve and recommend whether Photo Rejuvenation or another Wicked Lash and Beauty skin treatment better matches your concerns.

IPL Vascular
Those tiny visible veins and areas of persistent facial redness can be difficult to disguise and even harder to address with your everyday skincare routine.
IPL Vascular treatments use targeted light energy to address visible vascular concerns, helping to reduce the appearance of redness and small visible vessels for a clearer, more even looking complexion.
At Wicked Lash and Beauty, treatments can focus specifically on the nose or cheeks, or across the full face when concerns are more widespread.
Who Is IPL Vascular For?
IPL Vascular may be suitable if you:
• Notice tiny visible veins around your nose or cheeks
• Have areas of facial redness you would like to reduce
• Want to reduce the appearance of visible facial vessels
• Experience more widespread redness across your complexion
• Want your skin to appear clearer and more even in tone
Not sure whether the redness you can see is something IPL can treat? Tara can assess your skin and the areas that concern you, discuss what you would like to achieve and perform the required test patches. She can then recommend whether Vascular IPL is appropriate for your skin.

IPL Skin Treatment FAQs
-
You do not need to diagnose your own skin before coming in.
Start with what you can see and what is bothering you. Tara can assess your skin, listen to what you would like to improve and recommend whether Pigmentation, Vascular, Acne, Photo Rejuvenation or another available skin treatment is the most appropriate direction.
-
IPL treatments use light energy that needs to be selected appropriately for your skin and the concern being treated.
Your consultation allows Tara to assess your skin and treatment area, discuss your goals and perform the required test patches before proceeding with a full treatment. It is also your opportunity to ask questions and understand what to expect.
-
No. There are different causes of pigmentation, redness and other visible skin changes, and IPL will not necessarily be appropriate for every concern.
This is one of the reasons an assessment is important. Tara can look at what is actually happening with your skin before recommending treatment.
-
Some clients may notice visible changes following a treatment, but results vary according to the concern being treated, your individual skin and the treatment plan recommended for you.
IPL is better approached as a personalised treatment journey rather than expecting the same result or number of sessions for everyone.
-
Everyone experiences treatments differently. The SuperLUX system includes integrated skin contact cooling designed to help make IPL treatments more comfortable.
Tara can explain what the particular treatment is likely to feel like during your consultation.
-
Your skin may respond differently depending on the type of IPL treatment performed and the concern being targeted.
Tara will explain what you can expect following your treatment and provide the appropriate aftercare guidance so you know how to look after your skin afterwards.
-
The purpose of assessing your skin is not to push you into an IPL treatment. If IPL is not appropriate for your concern, Tara can talk you through the other Wicked Lash and Beauty skin treatments available and help you choose a more suitable direction.
