Your first IPL appointment is all about making sure the treatment is right for you.
Tara will assess your skin and the area you would like treated and perform the required test patches before you proceed with a full IPL treatment.
This is also your chance to ask questions, understand what to expect and talk through your treatment goals without feeling rushed or pressured.
Your IPL Consultation is required before all IPL treatments and must be completed at least 24 hours before your first full treatment.
The Technology Behind Your Treatment
Wicked Lash and Beauty uses the SuperLUX system a professional, medical grade, award-winning IPL Laser Machine designed for permanent hair reduction and advanced skin treatments.
IPL uses controlled pulses of light that are attracted to pigment within the hair. That light energy converts to heat and targets the hair follicle, helping to reduce its ability to produce new hair.
The SuperLUX gives Tara different ways to deliver this energy depending on the area and individual client. Its SHR technology uses rapid pulses at lower energy levels to gradually heat the follicle, allowing larger areas to be treated quickly and comfortably. Standard IPL can also be used for smaller and more intricate areas such as the upper lip, chin and Brazilian.
Integrated skin contact cooling helps keep treatments comfortable, while different hair removal settings allow the treatment to be tailored more closely to your skin, hair and treatment area.
Because hairs move through their growth cycle at different times, IPL works progressively. A course of treatments allows different hairs to be targeted as they enter the appropriate stage of growth.
